Limited Edition Single Malt Scotch WhiskyThe definition of a limited edition is a restriction on the number of items produced. Variations to limited editions can be deluxe editions or collector's editions. Each barrel of Scotch whisky is unique as the cask matures at different rates depending on the age of the cask and how the cask is stored, making each barrel a collector's item. The loss of volume, due to natural whisky evaporation through the oak cask, is known as angle dust. The most common method of producing a malt whisky is by mixing like kind barrels of Single Scotch to average out the consistency, before diluting the whisky down to 40%Vol. This totally destroys the identity of the individual cask. This is why at Gaelic Pure Scotch Whisky, we only specialize in single casks, preserving the identity of the pure spirit and allowing the collector not only to make an investment but also enjoy the uniqueness of each barrel. Our Scotch whisky ranges from an introduction £100 to £300 per bottle, depending on availability. The Single Barrel Malt whisky that we sell at Gaelic Pure Scotch Whisky is competitively priced compared to The Johnnie Walker Blue Label 200th Anniversary Edition at £2,000, the Jura 40 Year Old at £5,000 and the Chivas Royal Salute 50 Year old at £4,500. All our Scotch whisky's meet the same standard classification as each of the above brands, and bare the company seal of Gaelic Pure Scotch Whisky. Many companies including Selfridges are reporting double digit growth year on year and distilleries have to increase production to keep up with demand. Not only are collectors driving the sales of limited edition batches up for investment, but also selected bars and restaurants are buying this specialist whisky to ensure a quality product for their customers. The limited edition batches are specific to Gaelic Pure Scotch Whisky. To this end we have published additional material on our website to enable the collector to trace their purchase to the distillery of origin, confirming the purity of the Scotch. The whisky labels are also embossed and covered with gold foil before being hand applied to the bottle in Scotland. This makes our unique scotch whisky an extra special gift or investment.
